  • First of all, you have to open up the Command Prompt. To do so, click on Start button and then type CMD in the search box and hit Enter key on your keyboard.
  • Now, in the Command Prompt window, you have to type net view and then hit Enter key.
  • Then, you will see a list of the computers which are connected on your network connection. Simply choose any one of the computer which you want to remote shutdown and also remember its complete name.
  • After that, just type shutdown -m \\nameofpc (For example, shutdown -m \\Home-PC) and then hit Enter key. 
  • That’s it! You are done! Now, your targeted computer will be shutdown.
